Kagami Glass Studio — Edo Kiriko Cut-Glass Workshop in Tokyo
Cut your own glass in a 90-minute hands-on class, guided by a craftsman with 30 years of experience. No Japanese needed.
What you'll do
- Choose your glass (a tumbler or a sake cup) and a pattern from six traditional designs.
- Learn to hold the glass against the spinning wheel and cut the lines yourself. Your instructor guides each cut.
- Take your finished piece home the same day, wrapped for travel.
Good to know
- Duration: 90 minutes. Classes start at 10:30 and 14:00.
- Price: ¥6,500 per person (tax included). Cash and credit cards accepted.
- Ages 10 and up. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Instructions are given in English with a printed guide. Our staff speak basic English; for anything else, ask our chat assistant below.
- Wear closed shoes and short sleeves. Aprons and safety glasses are provided.
- Cancellation: free up to 24 hours before your class.

- 8 minutes on foot from Kinshicho Station (JR Sobu Line / Hanzomon Line). Look for the blue noren curtain.
- Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–18:00. Closed Mondays.
